Reclaiming a Lost Planet: 1.1 is a powerful piece from my mini-series, inspired by tribal art and the universal harmony tribes maintain with the Earth. This work reflects how modern societies trample the planet, contrasting with the respectful coexistence seen in tribal cultures worldwide. By using footprints to first traverse the paper, I bring a raw, visceral connection to the land before transforming those marks with my own tribal symbols, blending tradition and contemporary expression. Each mark tells a story of reverence and loss, inviting viewers to reflect on our environmental impact.
